Willow fitting

Thursday 13th September

Violette is a make-up artist represented by Management + Artists.  She lives in Paris and this was her first time keying a show in London.  Her booker contacted me asking me if I would like to do the show with her and also go to the fitting.  So off I went to 7 Queens Gate Mews and waited in anticipation to meet Violette.  She arrived and she was absolutely gorgeous!  Tall, slim, tanned, so pretty and French to top it all off.  She spoke perfect English but with this beautiful accent.  And she was super friendly!

The house where the fitting and casting for the show was taking place was really nice, but space was limited with all the bodies, and clothing, and accessories that were there, as well as camera men who were filming everything that was going on!  The hair, make-up and nail prep was taking place on a tiny landing, lol!  It was quite amusing shuffling around everyone all the time.  We had two models to do which was unusual for me, but makes things quicker which was good.

Violette used lots of moisturiser on the skin as she wanted a dewy look.  Also Mac Face and Body Foundation, a combination of two Mac sculpting powders (Shadowy and Definite) to contour the cheeks, (which gave a raw look), Lancome Eclat Miracle to highlight down the nose, cupids bow, temples and cheekbones, a Shu Uemura white shimmery liquid on the tear duct, white eye pencil on the water line, clear brow gel to brush up brows, powder only where necessary, and on the eyes she used the Make-Up Forever cream turquoise colour sheered down with a lip balm and applied to the inner corner of the eyes, gradually fading out to nothing.

On the second model she did exactly the same make-up, but applied the turquoise colour on the outer corners of the eyes instead.

Once both models were ready they were taken downstairs to the designers to walk, and it was decided that the look with the turquoise on the inner corner of the eye would be used at the show.
