Cover Drive shoot

Monday 20th June

Working with the lovely Mr Alex Babsky again, wahoo! He was asked to do a shoot for the self-described 'carib-pop' band, Cover Drive and needed an assistant. Hailing from Barbados, this band are signed to Geffen Records UK, and hold a publishing deal with Sony music. The bassist, Jamar, at 17, is the youngest member of the band, then there is the drummer T-Ray, lead vocalist Amanda, and Barry on guitar. T-Ray's mother Kerri Armstrong is their manager, and it was his Dad Ray Armstrong who came up with the band's name, through his love of golf. Throughout the whole day their music was blasting out of the I-pod, Amanda couldn't stop singing away to it even when in the make-up chair, and 'mom-a-ger' Kerri was bopping away. It was really cute to see. Amanda has written all the songs on the album, which is due for release some time in July.
