Marisha Pessl is an American writer best known for her debut novel, Special Topics in Calamity Physics. Her second novel, Night Film, a psychological literary thriller about a New York filmmaker looking into an apparent suicide, will be published by Random House in July 2013. A series of supporting images were needed for the Kindle, and photographer Paul Archer asked me to do the make-up. Some of the scenes were set in the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s, so I got to be really creative which was really fun. This is a more modern behind the scenes image from the shoot.
